Neighbors Helping Neighbors
A single mother struggling to feed her children … a senior trying to stretch a budget strained by prescription drug costs … a newly laid-off worker.
These are the faces of poverty in Franklin County. Almost 7,100 of our neighbors are living below the federal poverty level, and more than half of our children in Franklin County schools are eligible for free or reduced lunches.
This year, we'll distribute 3,800 food boxes to residents needing emergency food assistance. We’ll meet 3,700 requests to select clothing from our donated stocks. And we’ll provide more than $77,000 in utility assistance.
We can’t do it alone.
A donation of $15 will provide a food distribution to a Franklin County family in need.
A donation of $100 will help us provide utility assistance to a Franklin County senior, a young mother, or another family to help ensure that the household has relief from the cold of winter and the heat of summer.
A donation of $375 will help us distribute food for one day.
Every contribution, of any amount, helps us to provide food and utility assistance to our neighbors in need.
